Weather
Coimbra has a warm mediterranean/dry-summer subtropical climate that is mild with dry, warm summers and moderate seasonality. Regions with this subtype of the Mediterranean climate closely resemble an oceanic climate with generally cloudier and damper conditions than typical Mediterranean climates.
In autumn/ fall  time temperatures achieve average highs of 22.4°C (72.4°F) during the day and lows of 11.6°C (52.9°F) generally shortly after sunrise.

Electricity
Portugal uses a 220 volt 50Hz system, sockets have the European standard and plugs are two-prong grounded.

Currency and Exchange Rates
The official currency in Portugal is Euro (€). International credit cards are accepted for payment in most hotels, restaurants and shops, and ATM machines are easily available throughout the city.
